Gruul's Lair completed

After a disappointing nerf to the encounter, we have defeated Gruul the Dragonkiller. We were consistantly getting him to 23% and likely would have seen him fall this week anyway; however, the nerf does take away from our sense of accomplishment seeing as every guild under the sun has killed him now.

The kill itself wasn't worth rushing for because we heard that the nerf was pretty severe so we finished up one of our Karazhan runs and then went in the next day. It turns out we didn't need to pot or flask and killed him on the first try. Yay, I guess.

On that note, we are starting to complete our keys for Serpentshrine Lair and hope to experience some of the encounters there in the next week or two.

Doomwalker Down

With Karazhan on farm status and most of our members gearing up in Heroics, we have come to the realization that we have more free time to play around with new encounters. When we saw Doomwalker spawned today, we decided we would take a couple stabs at him to see how easy he was to drop. As it turns out, he wasn't so hard after all, and we netted ourselves another Alliance first.

Grats Coldsteel on [Archaic Charm of Presence] and Caerid on [Barrel-Blade Longrifle].

We also played around with Doom Lord Kazzak for a bit when we found he was up. After a few attempts at him with various horde training him onto us, healing him, and fearing our healers, we believe we have the encounter down and will be killing him shortly.
