Alliance First - Broodlord Down

Well, it's not a server first, but we'll take it. The Broodlord in Blackwing Lair is dead by our hands. We tried him twice on Thursday to get a feel for the encounter, then our first run on Friday, he died cleanly.

While we don't do it often, I would like to take a moment to toot our horns in the name of setting the record straight. While some other guilds make a bit more noise than we do, historically speaking Zephyros has had more alliance and server firsts than any other alliance guild on Kil'Jaeden. From the inception of the server (we were formed opening day) and the first raids into MC (we had the server first Lucifron kill) no other alliance guild has been as consistant. Feel free to dig through our archives for some trips down memory lane.

We're certainly going to do our best to keep this reputation as we forge deeper into BWL and future expansions. Our thanks go out to those outside the guild that have been supportive of our efforts.

Vaelestrasz Down

We've been working on him for nearly three weeks (more actually if you wanted to technically count our first attempts on our server first kill of Razorgore pre-hotfix). We have our tank transition techniques down pat, but there's still a high degree of randomness to the encounter which is somewhat frustrating. Hopefully with more practice it will become less of an issue, though the very nature of the streaky damage from the mob introduces some degree of randomness.

We probably should have had this done a week or so ago, but some ZG/AB distractions kept us busy. Oh well. He's dead now. On to the Broodlord.

Razorgore Back on Farm Status

While we had killed him for the server first some time ago, we'd refocused our efforts on Ragnaros for a while before returning to the post-hot fixed versions of Razorgore. After a few strat changes, he's back on farm status once again.

We'd taken a few stabs Vaelestraz previously and now we've taken a few looks at the new Vael. We anticipate him falling soon as well.
